ACCOUNTING

The Lyndon Group LLC, an accounting and financial management consulting firm, added Cynthia Gaffney and Vandana Bajaj as associates at its Newport Beach office. Gaffney previously was chief executive of a giftware company she started in 2002. Bajaj’s specialties include Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, internal controls processes and efficiency and workflow improvements.

ARCHITECTURE

The Costa Mesa office of Perkowitz+Ruth Architects named George Marshall and Sean Meehan as associates. Marshall has more than 19 years of architectural experience. Meehan joined the firm in 2002.

ASSOCIATIONS

Warren Barkfelt joined the Orange County Business Council as vice president of business development and investor relations. Barkfelt previously was vice president of the corporate banking team at California Bank & Trust.

AUTOMOTIVE

Fountain Valley-based Hyundai Motor America Inc., the U.S. arm of South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Co., appointed Jae Il Kim as group executive president. Kim formerly was senior executive vice president, international division, of the Hyundai Motor Business Group. He joined Hyundai in 1977.

BANKING

Fazila Jahangiri was named manager of the new Irvine Comerica Bank, a subsidiary of Comerica Inc. Jahangiri has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Mellon 1st Business Bank added Sean Foley as executive vice president to its Newport Beach office. Foley most recently was senior vice president and regional manager at Community Bank in Pasadena.

CONSTRUCTION

Paul Callison was hired as project manager at the Costa Mesa office of Mitchell General Contractors Inc., which specializes in retail and restaurant improvements. Callison has more than 20 years of experience working with national chains.

EDUCATION

The Rancho Santiago Community College District appointed Christina Romero as director of college advancement at Santa Ana College. Romero formerly was assistant director of the Orange County Small Business Development Center, an economic development program of the district.

ENGINEERING

Kurt Kaiser was named partner at Anaheim-based Donn C. Gilmore & As-

sociates Inc. Kaiser has 20 years of experience in electrical power system analysis, power distribution system assessments and California’s energy efficiency standards.

HEALTHCARE

Irvine-based Dynamic Healthcare Systems, a software provider for Medicare health plans, added Miriam Duckworth as director of account management and compliance with Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services. Andrew McLaughlin was named configuration manager and James Collard was added as an account executive.

LAW

Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLC, a patent law firm, added 15 associates to its Irvine office: Jonathan Bachand, Derek Bayles, Jared Bunker, Winston Chu, Douglas Espenschied, Andrew Hall, Joseph Kobzeff, Reza Mirzaie, Alina Morris, Michael Overland, Frances Pai, Scott Raevsky, Lance Smemoe, Joshua Stowell and Terry Tullis.

MANUFACTURING

Paul Anderson joined Huntington Beach-based HighMark, a designer and maker of office furniture, as Western regional vice president. Anderson has more than 20 years of sales experience.

REAL ESTATE

McCarthy Building Cos. promoted Michael Gritters to vice president of healthcare operations, Southern California division, at its Newport Beach office. Gritters has been with the company for 21 years.

San Clemente-based Argus Realty Investors LP promoted David Wong as Southwest regional vice president of sales and marketing. Wong formerly was director of internal sales and marketing. He joined the company in 2003 as a sales representative.

Lisa Karoub joined Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc., an Irvine-based property management company, as community association manager. Karoub previously was community manager administrative assistant for Transpacific Man-agement in San Clemente.

TECHNOLOGY

Peter Harker joined Irvine-based Log-icalApps as chief financial officer. Harker was previously chief financial officer at Medidata Solutions Inc. LogicalApps is a maker of software products that allow customers to manage forms, workflows, account generation and audit reporting.

Irvine-based MTI Technology Corp., a provider of data storage computers, software and services, named Nick Ganio executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Prior to joining, Ganio was executive vice president of global sales and marketing at 3Com.
