Nexa Securities, a Newport Beach brokerage and software developer, has introduced software that allows traders direct access to securities markets in both English and Chinese.
Nexa, formed in 1999, plans to double its current OC labor force from 30 to 60 over the next year, mostly with new hires for its customer service center to support the new software.
“We’re relying on domestic Chinese-speaking markets to hone our products and for short-term revenue,” said CEO Eric Stoop. “Over the next year, our business will be split 50-50 between U.S. and foreign markets.”
The company developed the software for investors and traders seeking a multilingual trading platform. The software provides users with direct market access that allows traders to execute transactions without the assistance of a broker.
The company is targeting an Asian market that is showing faster growth in Internet use and online trading than the U.S.
“We’ve already signed a couple letters of intent with some China-based broker-dealers,” said Stoop.
