Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc., Cypress, reported record February sales of 26,069 vehicles, a 57.2% increase from the previous February. The company’s previous best February was in 1991 when it sold 22,889 cars.
“We are off to the fastest start of any year in our history,” said Pierre Gagnon, the company’s executive vice president and COO. Mitsubishi’s Galant model had a record 8,407 sales, up 135.6%, and the Eclipse sports coupe sales were up 80.8%.
