The price for a barrel of oil increased 1.6% to $71.40. 

MANUFACTURING
Kaiser Aluminum Corp. (Nasdaq: KALU) dropped 9.4% to $106.61 and a $1.7 billion market cap. The Foothill Ranch-based manufacturer yesterday reported second-quarter results that missed analysts’ estimates. 

SERVICES
Resources Connection Inc. (Nasdaq: RGP) jumped 13% to $15.51 and a $509 million market cap. The Irvine-based provider of consulting services yesterday reported fiscal fourth-quarter revenue and profit that topped analyst expectations.
