DOZENS OF FARMERS OPPOSED TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW AIRPORT outside Mexico City recently grabbed their machetes and took hostage a Bulgarian engineer and five Mexican workers who were conducting airport-related studies on their land. The farmers eventually released the captives in front of Mexico’s Supreme Court.
