Robinson Pharma Inc., one of the country’s largest contract manufacturers of dietary supplements, has expanded its manufacturing capabilities at its Santa Ana operations, adding a new liquid production line that runs up to three times faster than its previous system.
The upgrade is part of a broader investment aimed at improving efficiency, throughput, and scalability as demand for its products grows, the company announced Dec. 18. The privately held company also increased its tablet and capsule capacity by adding new equipment.
The latest additions build on a major softgel expansion announced earlier this year. Robinson Pharma now operates 30 high-throughput softgel machines and 30 continuous drying tunnels, including 10 new machines dedicated to veggie softgel production. The company says its facilities can produce up to 23 billion softgels annually.
The manufacturing expansion follows Robinson Pharma’s largest real estate acquisition to date: the $40.7 million purchase of a newly built 82,241-square-foot industrial facility on South Fairview Street, located about a mile from its Santa Ana headquarters.
