ACCOUNTING

Ernst & Young LLP added Richard Schneider to its Irvine office as tax ac-count leader. Schneider has served real estate investment trusts, homebuilders, developers, private and institutional in-vestor clients. He will fo-cus on providing real es-tate advisory and tax op-eration services to companies in Southern California.


ARCHITECTURE

LPA Inc. in Irvine hired Maysoon Sheabaan, Shabnam Jahangiri, Matt Arzt, Chris Copper-smith and Jacleen San-chez. Sheabaan is project manager. Jahangiri is a technical designer who previously worked for Lehrer Architects. Arzt joined the company as mechanical engineer. Cop-persmith is plumbing engineer. Sanchez was named contracts coordinator.


BANKING

Bao-Ngoc Liu was promoted to district manager for the Huntington Beach area for Wells Fargo & Co. Liu previously was a business development officer and branch manager. She will manage more than 175 workers in Hun-tington Beach, Fountain Valley, Seal Beach and Westminster.


CONSULTING

Mark Weston joined re-structuring consultant Man-agement Action Programs Inc. in Newport Beach as senior consultant and executive coach. Weston has experience in entrepreneurship, profit and loss management, sales and operations management. Weston previously was president at Business Travel Experts in Santa Ana.


EDUCATION

Larry Schuler joined the board of trustees at St. Mary and All Angels School in Aliso Viejo. Board members provide guidance in business, marketing, finance and strategic planning for the Christian elementary school. Schuler is first vice president at CB Richard Ellis Group Inc.’s Newport Beach office.

University of California, Irvine Extension hired Janice Hopkins as director of marketing and communications. Hopkins will manage all of the external marketing, public relations and branding for the department. Hopkins most recently was director of marketing at

WellPoint Inc.


EMPLOYMENT

Orange-based Roth Staffing Companies LP hired Patricia Bromme as regional vice president for the eastern region. She will oversee divisions specializing in office support positions professional staffing. Prior to joining Roth Staffing, Bromme was regional vice president at an international staffing firm.


HEALTHCARE

Redmond, Wash.-based Aegis Living hired AnnaMarie Barba as director of the company’s assisted living center in Laguna Niguel. Barba is responsible for overseeing the care of residents. She previously worked at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach and for Phoenix-based MGA Health-care Staffing Inc.


NONPROFIT

Brendan Ford, a lawyer at the Costa Mesa office of Snell & Wilmer LLP, joined the executive committee of the Orange County Per-forming Arts Business Partnership. Ford will promote the arts and memberships to community business leaders. The partnership works with businesspeople to support the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa.

The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana promoted Robert Santana from director of operations to chief program officer. Santana served in the Air Force and later was in law enforcement. Mona Reyes was named director of development and will lead the major gifts, planned giving and foundation efforts on behalf of the club. She most recently ran her own development firm. Steven Savage was promoted as director of operations. Savage previously was unit director.

Brigitte Bren joined the board of Think Together Inc. Bren is president and chief executive of International Strategic Planning Inc. and wife of Irvine Company’s Donald Bren, a big backer of the education nonprofit. She also has served as a lawyer at Arter & Hadden LLP and was vice president of international marketing at Mark Goodson Productions LLC.

Maria Chavez Wilcox joined the board of the National Children’s Alliance as a director-at-large. Chavez Wilcox is one of only 14 members on the nationwide board. She is chief executive of Orange County United Way.


REAL ESTATE

LNR Property Corp.’s com-mercial property group named James McLennan chief financial officer. McLennan will handle the division’s economic strategy and forecasting, controllership and treasury duties. His responsibilities include projecting the long-term financial picture of the company and creating effective financial strategies.


RESTAURANT

Johnny Rockets Group Inc. in Lake Forest named Cozette Phifer director of communications. Phifer will work with national and field marketing teams and franchisees to raise awareness of Johnny Rockets, which runs a chain of 1940s-style hamburger diners.
