Bank of America names OC’s Kim Burdick to a national post

Kim Burdick, head of Bank of America’s Newport Beach-based California premier banking operation for two months, was promoted to the newly created position of consumer planning and integration executive and will move to the bank’s Charlotte, N.C., national headquarters. He will be replaced in the state premier banking job by Brad Dinsmore, who had headed Bank of America’s California marketing operations. Dinsmore lives in Coto de Caza. “Its an exciting time, what can you say? It gives me a chance to have a real impact on the company’s performance,” Burdick said. Burdick has been on a roll lately with Bank of America. In September, he was promoted to premier banking executive for California after the northern and Southern California premier banking groups were merged. Burdick had headed the Southern California group. Burdick said he was picked for the national position because he has worked in several segments within the bank. “They were looking for someone who has had a variety of experiences,” Burdick said. Burdick has played major roles in the bank’s growth in California and has been involved in consumer banking, in-store locations such as grocery stores and premier banking, which includes accounts larger than $100,000. In the new position, Burdick will be responsible for much of the planning for the consumer bank nationally. Both Burdick and Dinsmore will start their new positions immediately. n
