Anderson Takes Reins of Committee for Arts

N. Christian Anderson III, publisher and CEO of The Orange County Register, has been installed as chairman of the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts. He succeeds Donald P. Kennedy, chairman of the board of First American Financial Corporation, who was chairman for the previous three years.

Re-elected to the executive committee were: Philip J. Carroll, chairman and CEO of Fluor Corp. (vice chairman); John R. Evans, senior vice president and regional manager of Wells Fargo Bank (vice chairman); John A. McLuckey, president (retired) of Space Systems and The Boeing Co. (vice chairman); Thomas H. Nielsen, owner of The Nielsen Co. (vice chairman); Robert B. Grant, managing partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP (treasurer); and Gerard J. Kenny, partner of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP (secretary).

Jo Ellen Allen, director of public affairs for Southern California Edison Co., was newly elected to the board of directors for a three-year term. The other directors were reelected.
