UCI Health named Nasim Afsar its chief operating officer and Charles โChuckโ Orlando its chief financial officer today.
โAs our system continues to grow and expand critical services to Orange Countyโs residents, these leaders will help advance UCI Healthโs path of success,โ Chad Lefteris, chief executive of UCI Health, said in a statement.
Afsar joined UCI Health as chief operating officer for ambulatory care in 2018, where she grew outpatient clinics by more than 20%.
In her new role, Afsar will lead planning and construction, emergency management, clinical support services and facilities management as well as ambulatory care operations.
Orlando comes to UCI Health from Boston Medical Center Health System, where he served as a senior vice president and chief financial officer.
He will manage financial plans and policies, and work closely with executives at the UCI School of Medicine and UCI Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences.
