Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.1% in midday trading to 3,838.18.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.4% to 30,882.58 while the Nasdaq increased 0.2% to 13,574.83.

Crude oil dipped 0.1% to $52.24 a barrel.

Gold was up 0.1% to $1,857.50.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury fell 4.4% to 1.04%.

DRUG MAKER

Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) increased 15% to $7.60 and a $257 million market cap. Shares of the Newport Beach-based aesthetics drug maker have been on a tear since the start of the year, more than doubling since Jan. 4. On Friday, analysts at SVB Leerink boosted their earnings per share estimates for shares of Evolus in FY2023, forecasting the company will post earnings of 45 cents per share, up from their previous estimate of 40 cents.

ENERGY

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE), OC’s largest public clean tech firm, rose 7.4% to $11.34 for a $2.2 billion market cap. Shares in the Newport Beach-based company are currently trading at almost twice their average daily volume.
