Eledon Teams Up With Natera on Phase 3 Study

Natera’s Prospera test to monitor organ rejection in planned 600-patient study

Irvine-based biotech company Eledon Pharmaceuticals Inc. today announced a partnership with Natera to use Natera’s Prospera kidney transplant assessment test in Eledon’s upcoming Phase 3 clinical trial.

The trial will evaluate Eledon’s tegoprubart, an investigational therapy to prevent organ rejection in kidney transplantation. The Prospera test can detect early signs of transplant rejection, helping doctors decide whether further testing, including biopsy, is needed.

“Kidney transplant patients and physicians need new approaches that can protect the transplanted organ while addressing the limitations of current immunosuppressive regimens,” Steve Perrin, president and chief scientific officer at Eledon, said in a statement.

Eledon said it expects the trial to begin later this year with a target enrollment of about 600 patients.

Shares in Eledon were down 2.7% to $3.85 apiece and a $298 million market cap (Nasdaq: ELDN).
