Costa Mesa-based El Pollo Loco Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: LOCO) named Jason Weintraub its Chief Legal Officer, a new position.
The fast food chicken chain has added three other new C-Suite execs—operations, people/HR, and marketing—in the last year, under Chief Executive Bernard Acoca, who joined the company in March 2018. El Pollo Loco is the fifth-largest OC-based restaurant chain with $868 million in systemwide sales at about 500 locations.
Weintraub was at Taco Bell for five years and Broadcom for three years working on international business, licensing and intellectual property issues. He was most recently vice president, general counsel and secretary at BSH Home Appliances, also in Irvine. His LinkedIn shows three years’ service on the Irvine Public Schools Foundation.
Weintraub’s bachelor’s is from Stanford and his JD from UC Berkeley.
