What’s Open, What’s Closed in Orange County

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s reveal Friday of the new COVID-19 tracking system, Blueprint for a Safer Economy, set new timing for business reopenings.

The monitoring system, with changes effective Monday, replaced the previous County Data Monitoring List in outlining what businesses can reopen with health and safety modifications to their operations. OC is currently in the highest risk, or purple, tier of the Blueprint.

Here, a list of the status of each business sector as of Aug. 31 in Orange County as outlined by the state. Businesses that do reopen must follow safety guidance. Full information on the Blueprint for a Safer Economy and sector-specific guidelines can be found here.
