Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro Inc. has furthered its reach in the Middle East by acquiring the assets of Arabian Applied Technology, the largest value-added reseller in Saudi Arabia.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed but Ingram said the company will add about $200 million in annual revenue and will be “modestly accretive” to earnings this year.
Ingram is the world’s largest distributor of technology products in the world with revenue of $46.4 billion last year and sprawling operations around the globe.
The business, which will operate as Aptec Saudi Arabia under Ingram’s Middle East, Turkey & Africa business region, offers data center, storage, security, networking and software services.
Value-added resellers are essentially technology consultants that sell goods and services to businesses.
Ingram shares were up 1.4% in late afternoon trading to a market value of about $4.2 billion.
