Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 0.6% to 2,096.10 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.6% to 17,903.30.

The Nasdaq was up 0.6% to 5,059.91.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 1.3% to 2.33%.

The price of gold was down 0.4% to $1,181.

HEALTHCARE

Irvine-based Lifesciences Corp. was up 2.4% to $136.72 and a $14.7 billion market cap on higher than average volume. The heart valve maker had traded at its 90-day average by midday.

RESTAURANTS

Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. was down 3% to $46.30 and a $1.2 billion market cap on higher than average volume. The casual-dining chain had traded one-third more shares than its 90-day average by midday.

SERVICES

Irvine-based Autobytel Inc. was up 1% to $16.35 and a $171 million market cap. BMO Capital Markets initiated coverage on the automobile marketing services provider’s shares with a “market perform” rating.
