CM Law Firm Adds Specialty

Haynes and Boone in Costa Mesa has established an insurance recovery practice group with a new team led by Partner David Bender, Jr.

The new area expands the Dallas-based law firm’s local focus on intellectual property, technology transactions, litigation and corporate services.

Insurance recovery represents clients in matters with insurance carriers, including clients facing costly litigation or recovering from a catastrophic event.

Bender brings 31 years of experience representing policyholders at public and private companies and educational organizations, financial institutions, and boards of directors.

Joining Bender are Counsel Caroline Ford and Associate Mike Stoner. The “counsel” role is between associate and partner at Haynes and Boone.

Ford handles the enforcement of rights and claims under insurance policies on behalf of corporate and public entity policyholders. Stoner focuses on insurance recovery, corporate and commercial litigation, and environmental law.

The three attorneys are moving over laterally from insurance law boutique firm Anderson Kill in Ventura.
