On the Move: Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County Welcomes Dr. Wayne Stickney

Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is pleased to announce that Dr. Wayne Stickney has joined the organization as Chief Development Officer. Stickney has a diverse background in nonprofit management, athletic administration and organizational leadership. In his new role, Stickney is responsible for leading the organization’s fundraising and development initiatives.

Prior to joining Second Harvest, Stickney was Vice President of Development at Special Olympics Southern California. In that role, he expanded the organization’s fundraising efforts, cultivating relationships with major donors and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the visibility and impact of Special Olympics programs throughout Southern California.

Previously, Stickney served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Development at California State University, Long Beach where he played a critical part in fundraising for the university’s athletic department, supporting student-athletes and enhancing athletic programs. He also spent time as an Associate Athletic Director of Development at New Mexico State University.

Stickney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from CSU Long Beach, as well as a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University.  He and his wife are the proud parents of three children.
