Leading full-service architecture firm, AO, is pleased to announce the addition of Brett Park as Principal and Tony Ortiz as Senior Project Manager to our renowned Landscape studio. With their extensive backgrounds in planning, landscape architecture, and placemaking, Brett and Tony enrich our team’s capabilities, reinforcing AO’s commitment to innovative design.
Park brings to AO three decades of experience, celebrated for his sustainable design ethos and pioneering approach. Former lead of Brightview Design Group, Park’s global projects reflect a commitment to smart design, nature-based solutions, and a deep understanding of cultural context and ecosystems.
Ortiz joins AO with twenty years of expertise in managing large-scale planning developments throughout SoCal, renowned for his collaborative approach combining ecological sensibilities with a focus on human-centered design.
Together, Park and Ortiz have spearheaded award-winning projects like the Great Park Neighborhoods, City of Hope Orange County Cancer Center, and OC Sports Park. Long-time AO collaborators, the team has partnered on acclaimed projects like Valencia FivePoint including Confluence Park, regarded for its sustainable community placemaking, and is currently engaged on Solomon Hills in Santa Barbara County where we are poised to achieve similar success.
