The S&P 500 fell 0.19% to 1,582.20 in afternoon trading Friday.

The Dow Jones industrial average was up 0.13% to 14,719.34, while the Nasdaq was down 0.33% to 3,279.09.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was off 2.81% to 1.66%.

The price of gold fell 0.60% to $1,453 per ounce.

TECHNOLOGY

Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro Inc.'s shares fell about 6% to $17, after the technology products distributor reported mixed first-quarter results. Ingram had a recent market value of $2.56 billion.

Aliso Viejo chipmaker Microsemi Corp.'s shares rose 7% to $21.33 for a market value of $1.95 billion. Microsemi on Thursday provided third-quarter earnings guidance above analyst estimates.

RESTAURANTS

Huntington Beach-based BJ's Restaurants Inc. rose about 4% to $35.59, a day after the company reported better-than-expected results for the April quarter. BJ’s had a recent market value of $1.01 billion.
