Shares of Irvine-based homebuilder Standard Pacific Corp. fell about 4% to $6.40 for a market value of $2.2 billion.
Newport Beach-based specialty chemicals maker American Vanguard Corp. was down about 4% to $30 for a market value of $844 million.
Irvine auto financier Consumer Portfolio Services Inc.’s stock was up about 17% to $4 for a market value of $81 million.
