Lantronix Inc. shares surged after the company announced its preliminary inclusion in the Russell 3000 Index as part of the index’s reconstitution (Nasdaq: LTRX).
Irvine-based Lantronix offers Edge AI and IoT solutions, and provides computer networking products.
“The June reconstitution of the Russell US indexes captures up to the 4,000 largest US stocks as of April 30, ranking them by total market capitalization,” Latronix said in a statement on Wednesday.
The company’s shares were up 19% to $8.60 and a market cap of $343 million. Volume of 3.2 million is more than quadruple its daily average of 743,000.
