The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 1.6% to 1.87%.
The price of gold was down 0.7% to $1,256.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Western Digital Corp. was up 5.7% to $48.63 and an $11.3 billion market cap. The memory products maker’s shares are trading at an above-average volume and recovering slightly from a decline earlier this week after shareholders approved the $17 billion acquisition of competitor SanDisk Corp. in Milpitas. Western Digital today said it would offer $5.6 billion in senior secured and unsecured date to help finance the acquisition.
HEALTHCARE
Irvine-based ChromaDex Corp. was down 6.3% to $41.50 and a $164 million market cap on profit taking following the nutrient maker’s annual report. Shares had risen 10% in the run-up to the report, which showed higher revenue and a narrower loss for the company.
