The S&P 500 was up 0.69% to 1,861.73 in afternoon trading Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.62% to 16,365.44, while the Nasdaq rose 0.70% to 4,180.20.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was up 2.02% to 2.73%.
The price of gold was off 0.07% to $1,293.80 per ounce.
RESTAURANTS
Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. was up about 3% to $32.86, with others in the segment also trading up on Friday. BJ’s had a recent market value of $931.71 million.
CLEAN TECHNOLOGY
Newport Beach-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. was up about 2% to $8.72 for a market value of $783.98 million. The company’s shares have slid about 33% since the start of the year.
