Reborn Coffee Names Thomas Tran as Chief Operating and Technology Officer

Tran’s background “aligns” with coffee chain’s next phase of growth, Reborn says

Brea-based Reborn Coffee Inc. has appointed Thomas Tran as its new chief operating officer.

With over 25 years of experience in technology-enabled businesses, Tran was also named the specialty coffee chain’s chief technology officer.

Tran was most recently chief executive of the company he founded, ZAP Technologies. His background in both tech platforms and operating systems, which includes omni-channel commerce, merchant operating systems, loyalty platforms and multi-location business infrastructure, “aligns” with Reborn’s growth plans, the company said in a statement.

“Thomas brings deep experience in building scalable technology platforms and merchant operating systems and we believe his leadership will help strengthen our internal infrastructure and position Reborn for sustainable long-term growth,” co-CEO Jay Kim said.

Reborn in May reported revenue tripled to $5.2 million for the quarter ended March 31 (Nasdaq: REBN). Shares were up 2% to $2.08 apiece during midday trading on May 28 with a market cap of $17 million.
