The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond climbed 3.1% to 0.67%
The price of gold fell 1.2% to $1,780 an ounce.
The price for a barrel of oil rose 1.2% to $39.75.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. rose 5.7% to $173.58 a share and an $11.5 billion market cap. Shares of the provider of data analytics have more than doubled since April.
HEALTHCARE
Tustin-based Avid Bioservices Inc. (NASDAQ: CDMO) jumped 12% to $7.36 a share for a market cap of $414 million. Avid, a contract manufacturer of biopharmaceuticals, yesterday reported fourth-quarter sales of $12.6 million, topping the average analyst estimate of $8.5 million.
