Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P was flat in midday trading Friday at 3,009.4.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up less than 0.1% to 27,218.3, while the Nasdaq was off less than 0.1% to 8,183.4.

The yield on the 10-year bond was up about 4.6% to 1.87%.

Crude oil was down less than 0.1% to $54.89.

Gold was down 0.7% to $1,497.

REAL ESTATE

Homebuilder New Home Company Inc. (NYSE: NWHM) shares were up 6% to $4.15. The Aliso Viejo-based company, which had a recently market value of $86 million, yesterday said it would reveal additional model homes later this month within its Brighton Landing community in Vacaville.

TECHNOLOGY

AutoWeb Inc. (Nasdaq: AUTO), which operates a portfolio of digital brands that help market and sell vehicles, was down 5% in midday trading Friday to $2.63 for a market value of $35 million. The Irvine-based company’s shares were trading on lower volume and an article yesterday from financial website Simply Wall St on insiders shorting the company’s stock.
