Midday Stock Roundup

Indexes declined after President Trump suggested a September trade meeting with China might not occur.

The S&P 500 fell 1.1% to 2,904.84 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.7% to 25,182.60.

The Nasdaq dropped 1.3% to 7,933.30.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond traded 0.9% lower to 1.70%.

The price of gold was up 0.3% to $1,514.

The price of oil increased by 1.8% to $54.35 a barrel.

HEALTHCARE

Irvine’s Cryoport Inc. (Nasdaq: CYRX) jumped 9.5% to $22.16 and a $781 million market cap. The health sciences shipping and logistics provider yesterday reported second quarter revenue climbed 83% to $8.5 million. Shares have more than doubled this year.

TECHNOLOGY

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) in Newport Beach fell 12% to $2.30 and a $482 million market cap. The natural gas station operator yesterday reported second quarter adjusted revenue rose 3.8% to $72 million from the same period a year ago. The shares have dropped 33% from their 52-week high in April.
