Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.2% in midday trading to 3,009.08.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.1% to 27,301.04.

The Nasdaq dipped 0.1% to 8,237.46.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was down 0.4% to 2.09%.

The price of oil fell 0.7% to $59.80 a barrel.

The price of gold was up 0.1% to $1,413.60.

RESTAURANTS

Shares for Newport Beach-based Chipotle Mexican Group (NYSE: CMG) earlier this morning hit a new all-time high of $759, besting its previous intraday high of about $758 in 2015. The shares later fell to $751.28 and a $20.9 billion market cap during midday trading. On Monday, Piper Jaffray raised its price target on the restaurant chain to $824 from $792.

RETAIL

Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) in Irvine was down 5.1% to $33.63 and a $953 million market cap. Analysts at Citigroup lowered their recommendation on the retailer’s shares from buy to neutral in a Monday report. The company’s stock is still up 90% since the start of the year.
