The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.2% to 26,424.56.
The Nasdaq rose 0.4% to 8,005.92.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was up 1.4% to 2.59%.
The price of oil rose 0.5% to $63.71 a barrel.
The price of gold fell 1.1% to $1,277.
HEALTHCARE
The Ensign Group Inc. (Nasdaq: ENSG) in Mission Viejo fell 6.1% to $48.62 and a market cap of $2.6 billion. Shares in the assisted living and skilled nursing facility operator are trading at less than half their daily volume. The FTSE Nareit Equity Health Care Index also declined 2.8% today.
TECHNOLOGY
Lantronix Inc. (Nasdaq: LTRX) in Irvine rose 3.7% to $3.50 and a $78 million market cap. Volume of 68,722 shares was half the daily average. Shares in the networking products maker are up more than 38% since March 25, when the company announced former Microsemi Corp. President Paul Pickle was named chief executive.
