Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 0.1% in midday trading to 2,860.94.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat at 25,578.32.

The Nasdaq climbed 0.4% to 7,921.16.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was 1.4% lower at 2.93%.

The price of gold was down 0.1% to $1,220.

TECHNOLOGY

Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) in Irvine shot up 17% to $55.99 and a $3.4 billion market cap. The company yesterday boosted its 2018 revenue forecast after reporting second quarter revenue that topped consensus estimates. Shares have more than doubled this year.

Newport Beach-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) climbed 9.8% to $2.70 and a $549 million market cap. The shares had dropped 11% yesterday after Clean Energy reported second-quarter revenue that missed the consensus analyst estimate. Late yesterday, the Motley Fool investing website said there was “a lot of good” in Clean Energy’s report such as improving cash flow and a decline in SG&A costs.
