SERVICES

AutoWeb Inc. (Nasdaq: AUTO) in Irvine was down 5.4% to $3.50 and a $45 million market cap. The car sales leads provider lost $10.3 million on revenue of $32.3 million in its most recent quarter compared with $500,000 in income on revenue of $37.3 million year-over-year.

HEALTHCARE

ChromaDex Corp. (Nasdaq: CDXC) in Irvine was down 5.7% to $3.49 and a $191 million market cap. It had a net loss of $8.4 million on net sales of $6.6 million in its most recent quarter compared with a net loss of $1.9 million on net sales of $3.4 million year-over-year. Expenses at the nutritional products maker spiked to $11.5 million from $3.4 million on higher advertising, marketing, legal and compensation costs. Gross margin was flat due to buybacks of private label products it will no longer distribute, in favor of selling its own flagship product.

Biolase Inc. (Nasdaq: BIOL) in Irvine was down about 1.6% to $1.55 and a $159 million market cap. The dental laser maker initiated a 1-for-5 reverse stock split today to raise its per-share price to comply with Nasdaq rules that requires securities trade for at least $1. Shares closed yesterday at 32 cents. Post-split, its number of outstanding shares declined from 102.4 million to 20.5 million.
