The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 0.6% at 3.1%.

The price of gold increased 0.3% $1,214.


San Clemente-based ICU Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: ICUI) was up 6.8% to $239.75 and a $4.9 billion market cap. Yesterday, British engineering firm Smith Group plc (LON: SMIN) announced that it plans to spin off its healthcare business to focus on industrial technology after a nearly $9 billion merger with ICU collapsed in September.

Spectrum Pharmaceuticals Inc. (SPPI) was up 2.6% to $12.74 and a $1.3 billion market cap. The drug maker, which primarily focuses in hematology and oncology, on Nov. 13 appointed Dr. Jeffrey Vacirca, a practicing oncologist and the current president of advocacy group Community Oncology Alliance, to its board. Spectrum is based in Henderson, Nevada and houses its administrative and research and development facility in Irvine.
