Huntington Beach’s Pacific Airshow reported an increase of 33% in ticketed guests at this year’s three-day event compared to 2022.
Owned and operated by events firm Code Four, the show expanded its ticketed viewing area to around 5,000 feet from the pier to Beach Boulevard this year.
Initial estimates show over 700,000 people watched the airshow in the immediate vicinity. The event is in its seventh year and has “delivered a cumulative benefit to Orange County approaching $1 billion in economic impact,” Huntington Beach Mayor Tony Strickland said in a statement.
An economic impact report by Destination Analysts estimated that the 2022 airshow brought in around 690,000 local attendees who generated a total economic impact of $120.7 million for the city.
“Our vision is to one day create an international airshow schedule and experience that becomes like that of Formula 1,” Executive Director Kevin Elliott said.
