This year’s Orange County International Auto Show will occupy 25% more room at the Anaheim Convention Center for its Oct. 6-9 run.
The extra space will accommodate some 50 work trucks and vans to be featured in the inaugural “So Cal Work Truck & Van Show.”
“If you run a business that needs a work truck, this is a must-see show,” said K.C. Heidler, vice president of the event’s organizer, the Newport Beach-based Orange County Automobile Dealers Association.
The show-within-a-show will focus on vehicles from manufacturers including Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, Fuso, Hino, Isuzu and Nissan. The lineup will range from commercial trucks to standard consumer vehicles that have been “upfitted to showcase the endless possibilities available in today’s marketplace” and are often sought after by contractors, landscapers or delivery services.
The 52nd annual OC Auto Show, considered to be the first event of the auto show season, will host more than 550 vehicles for the 2017 model year, including hybrids, crossovers and SUVs from 35 manufacturers. A high-end collection of McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Maserati and Porsche models and other cars also will be on the show floor.
