Trusted Tech Team, a provider of Microsoft licensing and cloud-based services, has expanded its operations with a move to more than 32,000-square feet of space in Irvine, over five times the company’s previous layout.
Trusted Tech’s customers range from medium-size companies with more than 500 employees to large-size organizations, primarily in the U.S. and Canada. The company says its customers include Darden Restaurants, Dunkin’ Donuts and Raytheon.
It aids with Microsoft licensing as well as assessing and improving internal IT environments, including e-mail and data as well as mobile phone and laptop security.
“We work with those companies to improve their internal technology stack with everything Microsoft,” founder and President Julian Hamood told the Business Journal on April 28.
He said Microsoft is his company’s “primary focus.”
Trusted Tech Team moved from 5,700 square feet of space at 18004 Sky Park Circle to the new 32,000-square-foot facility at 5171 California Ave., part of Irvine Co.’s UCI Research Park office campus.
Trusted Tech Team now has over 150 employees working out of its headquarters in Irvine.
The headcount has tripled over the past 12 months.
It has Microsoft Gold Partner status, the highest level of partnership a company can attain with Microsoft, requiring more than a dozen certifications. The company is also a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider, specializing in Microsoft Cloud services.
Hamood said the company, which he started in 2017, has been seeing strong revenue growth though the exact number hasn’t been released.
“I remember when we were a small team of eight people, only a few years ago,” he said. “I started the organization with my own capital.”
He was born and raised in OC, graduated from California State University, Fullerton and lives in Irvine.
Growth Ahead
He foresees plenty of growth ahead, and says the company has no investors.
Trusted Tech Team says one of its biggest obstacles has been attracting enough talented support engineers to keep up with its rapid growth, but finds the company’s culture has let it secure top talent.
He sees advantages to being in Irvine for recruiting.
“Irvine has been such a nice hub for quality of technical talent,” Hamood says, citing the ability to draw on talent from Microsoft locally and the University of California, Irvine.
The company often starts with Microsoft retailing and licensing, and then moves on to checking the cloud infrastructure and making recommendations for improvements for customers, according to Hamood.
Businesses transitioning to the cloud to support remote/hybrid work environments often run into problems with existing IT infrastructure, teams, and technical understanding.
Trusted Team Tech aims to help IT teams get the most complex support questions for Microsoft 365 and Azure answered quickly and accurately.
Around the Clock
To aid customers, Trusted Tech Team provides around the clock support.
The company has a North American client base of over 10,000 customers, and has offices in Canada and the U.K. A large chunk of the business comes from California.
The company plans to continue expanding as demand for licensing expertise and engineer-led-support grows.
