Mike Ybarra, formerly vice president for Microsoft’s Xbox gaming platform, said he’s joining Irvine-based Blizzard Entertainment.
Ybarra said Oct. 23 on Twitter he’ll be an executive vice president and general manager, starting Monday, Nov. 4, and will be at Blizzard’s annual gamer fanfest BlizzCon this weekend in Anaheim.
“We will work with all our energy to serve gamers with incredible content and experiences,” Ybarra wrote.
Blizzard hasn’t yet responded to a request for comment on Ybarra’s new role.
