Data Privacy Coming

Orange County companies need to prepare for new data privacy compliance regulations, according to consultant Vishal Oza at Alvarez & Marsal in Costa Mesa.

The California Consumer Privacy Act takes effect Jan. 1; state Attorney General Xavier Becerra is due to deliver specific enforcement policies July 1.

A&M consultants in OC are expanding their work on data and cybersecurity as the deadlines approach.

For more on the new data privacy strictures, see the Dec. 9 print edition of the Business Journal.
