Clean Energy Expands Natural Gas Network

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. of Newport Beach said it’s expanding the use of its Redeem renewable natural gas across key segments of the transportation industry despite the coronavirus pandemic.

“Many of our customers including heavy-duty trucking, refuse, and transit agencies are performing heroic duty by continuing to operate under extremely difficult circumstances,” Vice President Chad Lindholm said in a statement Tuesday.

The company signed a series of new contracts including one to supply Garden Grove Unified School District with renewable natural gas for its 67 vehicles over five years, a total of about 575,000 gallons.

Clean Energy will release first-quarter earnings on Thursday. Shares (NASDAQ: CLNE) today fell 0.5% to $2.10 apiece and a $427 million market cap.
