Tech-based restaurant staffing firm ShiftPixy Inc. said it plans to expand into Canada, driven by opportunity it sees with multi-unit operators there.
ShiftPixy previously opened a New York office and has said it planned to add locations in Chicago and Florida. Its website lists a Toronto location and its Irvine headquarters.
It’s registering in each of Canada’s 10 provinces and said in a statement it will begin offering services “in the comping months.” Latin America and Japan also appear to be regions it’s interested in, according to the press release.
ShiftPIxy (NASDAQ: PIXY) traded down about 3.9% on the day to a $6.9 million market cap.
