Costa Mesa-based Rutan & Tucker LLP created a public-private partnerships practice group, led by William Eliopoulos, its Silicon Valley-based construction partner.
The group counsels clients on public building, transportation, transit, power, and water infrastructure projects.
Rutan said it has already assisted on the Long Beach Civic Center public-private project, in order to get a handle on this type of work, before formally launching the group.
The group is currently providing counsel for the California High-Speed Rail Authority and for one of the two final bidders for the University of California-Merced 2020 Campus Expansion Project. The group is also advising the Santa Clara Valley Water District on its advanced water purification center project to build an advanced wastewater purification facility.
