Goodwill of Orange County has been remodeling its corporate office store in Santa Ana and announced last week it was halfway complete. Renovations began in July and are scheduled to finish this September.
The 24,000-square-foot store on W. Fifth St. has remained open throughout the process with construction only in one part of the building. Work on the rest of the interior has begun, according to officials.
The refresh includes all-new fitting rooms, fresh paint, a revamped front entrance and relocating the cash wrap with a reclaimed wood backdrop. The organization also has plans to remodel its Garden Grove store in early 2023.
The original store opened about 50 years ago with an expansion in 2008. The Santa Ana spot is Goodwill’s flagship store in OC located at the headquarters campus along with its corporate offices.
“We wanted the store to reflect our current branding with the updated features you see at many of our other stores,” Chief Operating Officer Corrine Allen told the Business Journal. “We wanted this store to be a great representation of the modern thrifting experience that Goodwill of Orange County stores offer.”
