Irvine-based Allied Universal, the world’s largest provider of private security, today announced its acquisition of Nordic Security Services and Star Protection Services, marking its 100th and 101st acquisitions since 2010. Terms not disclosed.
Costa Mesa-based Nordic Security Services provides services like armed guards and controlled gate access.
Founded in 1991, Seattle-based Star Protection grew to be the largest privately owned security company in the Pacific Northwest with six branches throughout the Western U.S.
“I’m very proud of the company’s rise to the rank of global leader through strong organic growth and strategic acquisitions over the past 13 years,” Global Chairman and Chief Executive Steve Jones said in a statement. “We have been highly successful in bringing great organizations and their talented people onto the Allied Universal team and creating a very special organization that leads the world in providing security services.”
The company said it has slowed its pace of acquisitions due to rising interest rates.
Allied Universal has grown to more than $20 billion in annual revenue with 800,000 employees in 100 countries.
