Lanvin Group, parent of St. John Knits, appointed local Chief Executive Andy Lew as its new executive president this month.
Lanvin’s current CEO Eric Chan will exit to join the company’s board as a director.
Lew was first named interim CEO of St. John, now based in Anaheim, in 2021 following the departure of its previous executive Eran Cohen. He later transitioned from interim to global CEO in 2022.
Lanvin Group will be establishing a second headquarters in Europe where Lew will lead the group’s strategic implementation, business development and growth, financial management, supply chain, information technology, and brand operations.
“He will continue to serve as a key leader within St. John Knits International Inc., with day-to-day operations managed by a newly established management committee,” Lanvin Group said in a statement.
“Leading the establishment of our European headquarters is a tremendous opportunity to expand our global footprint and elevate our brands,” Lew added.
St. John Knits, the third largest of five brands in Lanvin’s portfolio, reported a 14% decline in first half sales to $43 million last August citing “a softening global luxury market.”
