American Vanguard Corp., a publicly traded maker of farm chemicals, renewed and expanded its lease at 4695 MacArthur Court in Newport Beach. The company signed a five-year lease for a floor at the 15-story office building. American Vanguard more than doubled its space from 9,119 square feet to 19,953 square feet. The deal is valued at $2.4 million. American Vanguard makes pesticides. It often picks up chemicals from big companies that don’t want to focus on what they see as smaller product lines. Ralph Simmonds of Simmonds Realty Group represented American Vanguard in the lease. Rick Wandrocke of landlord Irvine Company represented his company.
