LEASE
Jade Products Co., a maker of upscale ovens and ranges for homes and restaurants, renewed its lease for a 72,015-square-foot industrial space at 2650 Orbiter St. in Brea. The value of the six year lease was not disclosed. Jade, part of Elgin, Ill.-based Middleby Corp., has been in Brea since 2003. Before, the company was based in the City of Commerce and was called Jade Range. Three years ago, Middleby, a maker of restaurant equipment, bought Jade from the Maytag unit of Whirlpool Corp. Maytag had acquired Jade in 1999 and was bought by Whirlpool in 2006. Middleby has focused Jade on products for restaurants. The unit has estimated yearly sales of about $20 million.
