The rest—462—are single-office firms. All told, the local architectural offices combine to employ nearly 5,400 people. The majority of firms, 55%, have one to four employees. Only one has more than 500 employees. Irvine is home to the most architectural offices, with 97. Rounding out the top three spots are Newport Beach with 81, and Costa Mesa and Laguna Beach, which both have 41.
