New Head of CSUF Institute

Sandy Bond is Cal State University-Fullerton’s new director of its Real Estate and Land Use Institute, the university said.

The center, in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, is part of the 23-campus California State University system’s applied research and professional education center for real estate and urban land use.

CSUF’s branch of the institute was established in 1996.

Bond replaces Michael LaCour-Little, who is now overseeing the statewide Cal State center.

She has 25 years of real estate experience, much it in New Zealand. Her career includes real estate appraisal, valuation consultation, research and teaching, in areas that include the impact of climate change and natural disasters on property values, as well as valuation issues related to the location of cell phone towers, wind turbines and overhead lines.

Bond previously served as professor of property studies at Lincoln University in New Zealand. She also has taught at Auckland University and University of North Florida. She earned a doctorate in property valuation from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia.
