CoreLogic GC to Leave

Stergios “Terry” Theologides, general counsel and secretary of CoreLogic Inc., will leave the Irvine-based real estate real estate data and research company next month.

His departure is effective Sept. 15, according to the company, which said he was leaving to pursue new opportunities.

A replacement for Theologides hasn’t been named.

Theologides joined CoreLogic in 2009, and helped guide the company through its high-profile split from Santa Ana-based title insurance company First American Corp. the following year.

CoreLogic counts a market value of about $3.9 billion.

Theologides’ work to make CoreLogic a stand-alone company was recognized in 2011, when he was a winner of the Business Journal’s General Counsel Award.
