Cypress-based Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. hired 20-year tire industry veteran John Hagan as senior director of sales operations. He previously worked as the vice president of original equipment sales at Georgia-based Pirelli North American Tire Inc.
BANKING
Salt Lake City-based Celtic Bank hired Melinda Ficek as business development officer for asset based lending for Southern California. Ficek, who will be based in Corona Del Mar, also is a member of the Commercial Finance Association and the Orange County Financial Society.
EDUCATION
Susan Leavy was promoted to acting director of the Women’s/Adult Re-entry Center at California State University, Fullerton. She has been with the center for six years and previously was the coordinator of the Prevention of Crimes Against Women program. Leavy also is a part-time lecturer in the psychology and sociology departments at the school.
David Scott Olivet was elected to the Pomona College Board of Trustees. Olivet currently is executive chairman of Lake Forest-based Red Digital Cinema Camera Co., a digital movie camera maker, and chairman of Foothill Ranch-based Oakley Inc. He is a 1984 graduate of Pomona College, part of the Claremont Colleges, and currently resides in Laguna Beach.
GOVERNMENT
The city of Rancho Santa Margarita hired Stacey Taylor as chief of police services. Taylor previously was the bureau commander of the Orange County Sheriff’s Intake Release Center in Santa Ana. She also has served as the bureau commander of transportation and the Central Women’s Jail for the department.
HOTELS
Denise Pflum was hired as the general manager of the Doubletree Hotel in Anaheim. Pflum has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and previously was the general manager at the Doubletree Guest Suites Doheny Beach in Dana Point.

Jill Zozula has joined Riverside-based Best Best & Krieger LLP as senior marketing manager. She previously worked at ELLS CPAs and Business Advisors in Santa Ana. She will be based in the firm’s Irvine office and will be responsible for developing marketing strategies and overseeing the firm’s new Web site.

Steve Greinke was promoted to president and chief operating officer of Orange-based Southern Counties Oil Co. Greinke has previously held various management positions and is the third generation of his family to lead the petroleum distribution company.

Irvine-based Printronix Inc. hired Rhonda Longmore-Grund as chief financial officer. She previously was the vice president of global-information systems finance and support services at Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro Inc. Longmore-Grund also is a member and former president of the Orange County chapter of the Financial Executive International Committee for Finance and Technology.
REAL ESTATE
Santa Ana-based Grubb & Ellis Co. appointed Thomas D’Arcy president and chief executive. He also will be a member of the board. He currently is serving as the non-executive chairman of Inland Real Estate Corp. and previously was a principal at Bayside Realty Partners in New England.
Newport Beach-based KBS Realty Advisors named Brent Carroll senior vice president and asset manager of the Southwest region. Carroll has 27 years of commercial real estate experience and most recently spent the past 11 years with Atlanta-based Industrial Developments International Inc.

RGS Services Inc. in Anaheim hired Spen-cer Arnold as vice president. His will be responsible for overseeing daily activities and strategic business planning. Arnold previously worked at Landscape Development Inc. as division president of the southern division. RGS provides landscape maintenance, laundry service, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning services.
